Dental Restoration (Fillings)

Dental fillings are the most common type of dental restoration. They are used to seal cavities and repair broken, cracked, and worn teeth.

During a dental filling procedure, we anesthetize the damaged area and surrounding tissues. Then, Dr. Blake removes the damaged areas of the tooth or any tooth decay. Next, he will clean and disinfect the area to eliminate any remaining bacteria.

Dr. Brown applies the filling material in layers and uses a special light to harden the material between layers. Finally, the filling is trimmed and polished.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns go over your tooth like a cap, restoring the shape of the tooth. Crowns are used for cosmetic purposes to cover discolored or misshapen teeth.

Crowns are also part of restorative dental procedures, including dental bridges and dental implant restorations. Dr. Blake also uses them in root canal therapy, forming the protective barrier for the tooth as it heals after the treatment.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are a prosthetic dental treatment for teeth restoration. They consist of a metal framework with dental crowns attached to them. A bridge may replace a single missing tooth or be used to replace multiple teeth.

Dental bridges are a crucial part of dental implant procedures and full mouth smile restoration.

Full Dentures & Partial Dentures

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. When you’re missing all of your teeth, we recommend full dentures. If you still have some natural teeth, partial dentures may work for you.

Full dentures are custom-made while your mouth heals from the tooth extraction. It can take two to three months to complete the dentures and make them ready to wear.

Another option is immediate dentures, which can be made before the extractions and are ready to wear after healing. However, as your mouth heals, the dentures may become a bit loose and require more visits for adjustments.

Partial dentures replace a group of missing teeth when you still have natural teeth. Some include metal frameworks, while others mount on gum-colored bases.

Dental Implant Restoration

Dental implant restoration replaces a missing tooth or teeth by combining restorative treatments and prosthetics. It is not used for cosmetic purposes but only to replace teeth lost to injury or gum disease or extracted due to deformity or severe decay.
